The proposed removal date will be in or after October 2022. Input relating to the removal of this crosswalk marking may be submitted by contacting the Department of Transportation Services at 768-8327 through September 14, 2022.
Sep 4NOTICE TO MOTORISTS The County of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation, Culture and Education Division announces that Lihiwai Street, located within the Queen Lili'uokalani Gardens, at the intersection of Banyan Drive and Lihiwai Street to the Isle's parking lot will be closed to vehicular traffic from 2:00am Friday, September 9th to 6:00pm Saturday, September 10th, 2022 for the 23rd Annual Queen Lili'uokalani Festival in the Queen Lili'uokalani Gardens. Aug 12NOTICE TO MOTORISTS In accordance with the ROH Section 15-17.1, notice is hereby given f or the proposed removal of the marked crosswalks on Haiku Road at Ohala Street, which will be consolidated with the signalized Kamehameha Highway crosswalk, and on Kamehameha Highway at Hoene Place. The proposed crosswalk removals will be included in the Rehabilitation of Localized Streets Phase 73A project anticipated to begin in 2023-2024. Input relating to the removal of these marked crosswalks may be submitted by contacting the Department of Transportation Services at 768-8341 through August 31, 2022.
Jul 29NOTICE TO MOTORISTS In accordance with ROH Section 15-17.1, notice is hereby given for the proposed removal of marked crosswalks on Waimano Home Road at Hoomaemae and Kuahaka streets. The crossings will be consolidated at the Leomele Street and Hoolana Street crosswalks, respectively, where pedestrian crossing treatments will be implemented. The proposed crosswalk removal will be included in the Rehabilitation of Localized Streets, Phase 25A project in 2023-2024. Input relating to the removal of this crosswalk marking may be submitted by contacting the Department of Transportation Services at 768-8327 through August 12, 2022.

Jul 24July 13, 2022 ALTERNATING ONE-LANE ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE AFFECTED AREA: HONOKA'A-WAIPI'O ROAD; HONOKA' HAMAKUA, HAWAI'I (SEE MAP) The Department of Water Supply, County of Hawai'i, will be working on Honoka'a-Waipi'o Road near the 5.5-mile mark from 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, to install a new water service lateral. One alternating lane with traffic control will remain open throughout the installation. Motorists could experience delays and should plan accordingly. Please pardon this temporary inconvenience.
