PUBLIC NOTICE (Docket No. 21-CA-PA-10) The Department of Health, State of Hawaii, is notifying all interested persons of the proposed settlement between the Department of Health and Kauai Island Utility Cooperative (KIUC). The Department of Health has issued a Notice and Finding of Violation and Order, in Docket No. 18-CA-EO-05, alleging that KIUC violated state air pollution laws, HRS §342B-11, HAR §11-60.1-2, and Covered Source Permit (CSP) No. 0452-01-C, Kapaia Power Station. City and County of Honolulu - Department of Environmental Services Collection System Maintenance The Department of Environmental Services (ENV) will be smoke testing portions of the wastewater collection system along Kapunahala Stream between September 27 to October 8, 2021. The testing will be performed by a City ENV crew during normal business hours (8am - 2pm) and generally should not affect the public. You do not need to be present but you may notice ENV personnel working in the area.
