Jul 9HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND BIOSECURITY Notice of Designation of the Islands of Kauai and Lanai as Expanded Coffee Berry Borer Infested Areas, Subject to Quarantine On June 23, 2026, the Board of Agriculture and Biosecurity (Board) voted to officially expand the designated coffee berry borer (CBB), Hypothenemus hampei, infested areas to include the entire islands of Kauai and Lanai. The Board's decision means Molokai is now the only coffee-growing island not considered infested with CBB. The Board's designation became effective on June 24, 2026.
