Jul 17Destruction of Special Education Records The Hawaii State Department of Education is no longer required to maintain the special education records for those students who graduated with a diploma or turned 22 years old prior to July 1, 2019. For those who would like a copy of their records, arrangements for pickup must be made by calling their respective district or complex area office no later than August 30, 2022. Exceptions to this notice are those class members of the E.R.K. v. Hawaii Department of Education settlement. These student records will be maintained until December 30, 2023. Jul 17Public Notice of Intent to File Application The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) intends to file an application for federal financial assistance with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Rural Development, Rural Utilities Service. The project entails construction of water distribution and wastewater collection for the DHHL East Kapolei IIB subdivision (now called Ka'uluokaha'i).
