- PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
- The Honolulu Board of Water Supply is proposing the installation of approximately 800 feet of watermain in the Kailua area. The purpose of the project is to reduce main breaks and improve water system reliability. The project includes installation of 2-inch, 4-inch, and 8-inch water mains and appurtenances, as well as inactivation of existing water mains. The work will require the use of heavy construction equipment to create open trenches about 1 to 3 feet wide and roughly 3 to 5 feet deep. All construction work will be within the existing road rights-of-way (see attached map for locations).

- In its letter of December 20, 2022, the State Historic Preservation Division determined no historic properties would be affected by this project.
