Ordinance 25-38 (Bill 21 Draft 2): An Ordinance amending Chapter 2, Article 15, of the Hawai’i County Code 1983 (2016 edition, as amended), relating to Nepotism. AYES: Council Members Galimba, Hustace, Kagiwada, Kaneali’i-Kleinfelder, Kierkiewicz, Kimball, Onishi, Villegas and Chair Inaba – 9. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. EXCUSED: None
Ordinance 25-39 (Bill 36): An Ordinance adopting a pay plan for persons employed by the County other than those whose pay is otherwise provided for, designating payroll periods, pay days, prescribing requirements with respect to official fidelity bonds, and repealing Ordinance No. 24-28 and all amendments thereto, said Ordinance to be known as The Salary Ordinance of 2025. Ordinance 25-40 (Bill 37): An Ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 24-32, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of Hawai’i for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. AYES: Council Members Galimba, Hustace, Kagiwada, Kaneali’i-Kleinfelder, Kierkiewicz, Onishi, Villegas and Chair Inaba – 8. NOES: None. ABSENT: Council Member Kimball – 1. EXCUSED: None
Ordinance 25-41 (Bill 43): An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 23-40, which amended Ordinance No. 22-125, which authorized the Mayor to enter into an intergovernmental agreement for a State Water Pollution Control Revolving Fund Loan for Wastewater Public Improvement Projects and authorized the issuance of $17,000,000 General Obligation Bonds for the purpose of financing qualified Wastewater Public Improvements of the County of Hawai’i. AYES: Council Members Galimba, Hustace, Kagiwada, Kaneali’i-Kleinfelder, Kierkiewicz, Onishi, Villegas and Chair Inaba – 8. NOES: None. ABSENT: Council Member Kimball – 1. EXCUSED: None
