PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes § 91-3, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, of a public hearing to be held by the Real Property Assessment Division of the Department of Budget and Fiscal Services for the purpose of the repeal of Low and Moderate-Income Rental Housing Exemption, the adoption of Schedule of Fees for Public Records and amendment of Board of Review rules.

TOPICS OF PROPOSED RULES
The purpose of this public hearing is as follows:
– Repeal Chapter 15 entitled “Low and Moderate-Income Rental Housing Exemption”
– Adopt Chapter 20 entitled “Schedule of Fees for Public Records”‘
– Amend Chapter 19 entitled “Boards of Review”

For auxiliary aid/service or other accommodations due to a disability, or an interpreter for a language other than English, email request to rpapto@honolulu.gov, mail or hand deliver request to Real Property Assessment Division, 842 Bethel Street, 2nd Floor, ATTN: Real Property Technical Branch, Honolulu, HI 96813, or phone request to 808-768-7911 at least five (5) business days prior to the public hearing. Requests made as early as possible will allow adequate time to fulfill requests.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AND TESTIMONY
All interested persons shall be afforded the opportunity to submit testimony orally or in writing at the hearing. There will be a two-minute limit per person per rule to present testimony at the hearing. It is recommended to submit written testimony in advance of the hearing to allow time for review and consideration by email to rpapto@honolulu.gov or by mail or hand delivery to Real Property Assessment Division, 842 Bethel Street, 2nd Floor, ATTN: Real Property Technical Branch, Honolulu, HI 96813. Attendance to the hearing is not required to submit written testimony. All testimony submitted before the conclusion of the hearing shall be considered.
