COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT – DECLARED DISASTER RECOVERY PROGRAM
Pursuant to the City and County of Honolulu’s (City) Citizen Participation Plan, the proposed amendment to the City’s Twenty-Fifth (25th) Year Action Plan is provided for your information. The City desires to reprogram Community Development Block Grant – Declared Disaster Recovery Funds (CDBG – DDRF) to a project that can utilize the funds immediately, in order to achieve CDBG-DDRF program goals more efficiently and expediently. The proposed revisions to the CDBG-DDRF projects are provided for your information and use.

Department of Design and Construction – Remediation and Resilience Hardening
Project Description: Renovation of the Waimanalo District Park multi-purpose building, which includes roof replacement, installation of wind resistant windows and entryways, ADA improvements, and the installation of a photovoltaic system. The renovations, which will strengthen the gym in order to better withstand future disasters.

Project Description: Acquisition of fire protection equipment for the Waimanalo Fire Station.
