Traffic Schedule No. 2017-8
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2017-8 TO AMEND SCHEDULE I OF SECTION 15-6.2(a) ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC SIGNALS (CITY); SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS.
Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:
a. By amending Schedule I of Sec. 15-6.2(a) establishing traffic signals (City) by adding thereto the following item:
"Honowai St-Waipahu St."
b. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following item:
"Punawainui St., for its entire length."
c. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
"Ka Awakea Rd-Awakea Rd. Traffic on Ka Awakea Rd. shall stop before entering Awakea Rd."
"Kiowainui Pl-Punawainui St. Traffic on Kiowainui Pl. shall stop before entering Punawainui St."
"Lualualei Homestead Rd. (southern leg)-Halona Rd. Traffic on Lualualei Homestead Rd. (southern leg) shall stop before entering Halona Rd."
"Luawainui Pl-Punawainui St. Traffic on Luawainui Pl. shall stop before entering Punawainui St."
"Makaweo Ave-California Ave. Traffic on Makaweo Ave. shall stop before entering California Ave."
"Makaweo Ave-Loko Dr. Traffic on Makaweo Ave. shall stop before entering Loko Dr."
"Moena Pl-Kahuamo St. Traffic on Moena Pl. shall stop before entering Kahuamo St."
"Punawainui St-Makakilo Dr. Traffic on Punawainui St. shall stop before entering Makakilo Dr."
2. By deleting therefrom the following item:
"Ka Awakea Rd-Awakea Rd. Traffic exiting from dead end portion stop before intersection Awakea Rd and Ka Awakea Rd."
d. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
"Gulick Ave., Koko Head side, distance 78′ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of N. King St."
"Honowai St., Ewa side, distance 110′ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Waipahu St."
"Honowai St., makai side, from Pupukahi St. to a point 60′ Koko Head of the Koko Head curb prolongation of Honowai St."
"Makaweo Ave., eastern side, distance 41′ southerly direction from the southern curb prolongation of California Ave."
"Makaweo Ave., western side, distance 45′ southerly direction from the southern curb prolongation of California Ave."
"Punawainui St., within both turnaround areas."
"Punawainui St., eastern side, distance 330′ southerly direction from the southern curb prolongation of Makakilo Dr."
"Waipahu St., mauka side, distance 95′ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Honowai St."
"Waipahu St., mauka side, between Naval Access Rd. and Honowai St."
2. By amending thereto the following items:
Auahi St., makai side, distance 70′ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Keawe St.; to read:
"Auahi St., makai side, distance 110′ Koko Head direction from the Koko Head curb prolongation of Keawe St."
Honowai St., Koko Head side, distance 72′ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Waipahu St.; to read:
"Honowai St., Koko Head side, distance 100′ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of Waipahu St."
Leahi Ave., mauka side, between Monsarrat Ave. and Kapahulu Ave.; to read:
"Leahi Ave., Koko Head side, between Monsarrat Ave. and Kapahulu Ave."
3. By deleting therefrom the following item:
"Leahi Ave., mauka side, distance 56′ Ewa direction from Ewa curb prolongation of Monsarrat Ave."
e. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following item:
"Kapolei Parkway (State-owned portion), mauka side, distance 150′ Waianae direction from a point 70′ Waianae of the Waianae curb prolongation of Puainako St."
2. By amending thereto the following item:
Kapolei Parkway, mauka side, distance 150′ Waianae direction from a point 275′ Waianae of the Waianae curb prolongation of Kamaaha Ave.; to read:
"Kapolei Parkway (State-owned portion), mauka side, distance 150′ Waianae direction from a point 125′ Waianae of the Waianae curb prolongation of Kamaaha Ave."
3. By deleting therefrom the following item:
"Leahi Ave., mauka side, entire length between Monsarrat Ave. and Kaunaoa St."
Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
