PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
To Adopt Proposed City and County of Honolulu
Administrative Rules, Title 12, Subtitle 3, Chapter 1,
Honolulu Zoo

Notice is hereby given of proposed rulemaking and public hearing by the Department of Enterprise Services, City and County of Honolulu, for the adoption of proposed City and County of Honolulu Administrative Rules, Title 12, Subtitle 3, Chapter 1, governing the Honolulu Zoo ("proposed rules").

The Department of Enterprise Services proposes to adopt new rules establishing non-resident admission fees for admission to the Honolulu Zoo.

The proposed new rules are summarized as follows:

§12-3-1. Purpose. The purpose of this chapter is to establish the non-resident and military fees for admission to the Honolulu Zoo.
§12-3-2. Definitions. Defines United States Military.
§12-3-3. Admission fees. Amends non-resident admission and establishes military fees for entry to the Honolulu Zoo.

A public hearing will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 in the Maui Room, at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center, starting at 4:30 p.m.

All interested persons are urged to attend the public hearing and present data, views, or arguments in the time limit provided, for consideration by the Department of Enterprise Services. Persons unable to attend or wishing to present additional comments may mail written testimony to the Department of Enterprise Services, 777 Ward Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii 96814 or email testimony to Blaisdellinfo@honolulu.gov no later than 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2023.

Interested persons may review the proposed rules to be adopted starting today and ending five days prior to the day of the public hearing during the hours of 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Department of Enterprise Services, 777 Ward Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii 96814.

A copy of the proposed rules to be adopted will be mailed to any person who submits a written request to the above address. A complete set of the proposed rules to be adopted are also available, free of charge, on the City’s internet web site:
