County of Kaua’i To All Interested Agencies, Groups & Persons: Pursuant to 24 CFR Part 91, notice is hereby given that the Kaua’i County Housing Agency will hold in-person and virtual public meetings in preparation for the fourth program year of the Consolidated Plan 2020-2025 (CP) and Annual Action Plan 2023 (AAP), Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program, and Housing Trust Fund (HTF) Program. The Housing Agency anticipates receiving federal grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Public meetings will be held to discuss the use of federal grant funds for community needs, and receive public comment and input. Following the virtual public meeting, a CDBG informational webinar will be held to provide information on how to apply for funding. The purpose of the CP and the AAP is to ensure that jurisdictions receiving federal assistance plan for housing and community development related needs in a way that improves availability and affordability of decent, safe, and sanitary housing and creates economic opportunities for low- to moderate-income families in our community. The CP focuses on three areas of concern: housing, homelessness, and community development. To receive funds made available under certain HUD programs, the County and State must have a housing strategy and CP that has been approved by HUD.
