Bill 192 (Draft 3): Amends Chapter 19, Article 11, Section 19-90 of the Hawai’i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as Amended), Relating to Real Property Tax. Extends the requirement to appropriate residential tier-two and tier-three property tax revenue to housing and homelessness programs until 2029; requires that monies be used to award grants that address housing and homelessness. Ayes: Council Members Galimba, Hustace, Inaba, Kagiwada, Kierkiewicz, Kimball, and Villegas – 7; Noes: Council Members Kaneali’i-Kleinfelder and Acting Chair Onishi – 2; Absent: None; Excused: None.
