Project Name: Mililani Wells II GAC
Island: O’ahu Moku: ‘Ewa Ahupua’a: Waipi’o
Project Description: The Honolulu Board of Water Supply (BWS) is proposing to install a granular activated carbon (GAC) treatment system at the Mililani Wells II station. The major components of the GAC system will include the GAC vessels, a backwash system, and chlorination building. Currently, raw water from the Mililani Wells II site is sent to the Mililani Wells I site for treatment. This project will provide localized treatment of the raw water and increase resiliency and redundancy within the water system. This work requires the use of heavy construction equipment.
All proposed work will be within the existing Mililani Wells II station (TMKs: (1) 9-5-049:075, (1) 9-5-057:112 and 117)
Proposed Project Area: Approximately 2.85 acres
