Public Information Meeting

A public information hearing to report to the public on the efforts of the City Council and the City Administration in regard to the continued use of the WGSL and to report on the status of the efforts of the Department of Environmental Services, City and County of Honolulu, to either reduce or continue use of the WGSL in accordance with the November 1, 2019 State of Hawai’i Land Use Commission Special Use Permit SP09-403 Decision and Order, available at https://luc.hawaii.gov/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/SP09-403-final-FOFCOLDO-2019.pdf

All interested persons shall be afforded the opportunity of being heard, but attendance at the public hearing is not necessary to submit questions and comments. Written questions and comments may be e-mailed to disposal@honolulu.gov, and must be received by 4:30 pm, March 26, 2026. If submitted, written comments, including the commenter’s address, e-mail address and phone number, will be available to the public on the Refuse Division’s website at http://www.honolulu.gov/opala/resources/landfill-status.html.
