PUBLIC NOTICE
VIDEO MONITORING FOR THE
HALONA BLOWHOLE LOOKOUT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 2-32.3(b)(5), Revised Ordinances of Honolulu that the City and County of Honolulu (City) will be installing video surveillance cameras to monitor Halona Blowhole Lookout. These cameras will be employed for the general prevention and deterrence of criminal activity and to ensure the safety and security of the public and community we serve. The full color, thermal video surveillance cameras will be used to achieve legitimate law enforcement objectives for legitimate public purposes. The full color, thermal video surveillance cameras will begin operating and recording 10 calendar days after publication of this legal notice.

The General Public may submit written comments on the video monitoring to the City Council and the Department of Facility Maintenance at the following addresses:

CAMERA LOCATIONS AT HALONA BLOWHOLE LOOKOUT

A total of 2 surveillance cameras will be placed in the parking lot of the Halona Blowhole Lookout. All cameras will operate continuously. The fixed-position, full color, thermal surveillance cameras will monitor the parking lot, sidewalks, and adjacent areas within the Halona Blowhole Lookout and the Honolulu Police Department will monitor.
