PUBLIC NOTICE
VIDEO MONITORING FOR THE
HAWAII PLANTATION VILLAGE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 2-32.3(b)(5), Revised Ordinances of Honolulu that the City and County of Honolulu (City) will be installing video surveillance cameras to monitor the Hawaii Plantation Village. These cameras will be employed for the general prevention and deterrence of criminal activity and to ensure the safety and security of the public and community we serve. The 4MP
ultra-low light, night color technology plus cameras will be used to achieve legitimate law enforcement objectives for legitimate public purposes. The 4MP ultra-low light, night color technology cameras will begin operating and recording
10 calendar days after publication of this legal notice.

The General Public may submit written comments on the video monitoring to the City Council and the Department of Facility Maintenance at the following addresses:

CAMERA LOCATIONS AT HAWAII PLANTATION VILLAGE

A total of 8 surveillance cameras will be installed within the Hawaii Plantation Village. A total of 2 surveillance cameras will be installed on the Okada Administration Building, one camera will cover the main entrance doors and steps leading to the building and the second camera will be located on the right front corner and will cover the back steps and lanai area that wraps to the front of the building. 6 surveillance cameras will be installed in the village area, one will be directly inside the main entry point to the village facing the gate looking down the grassy field; second one will cover the village from the Chinese structures looking towards the village; third one will cover the light post near the Filipino house towards the village; fourth one will cover the light post near the Filipino house towards the social hall; fifth one will be located on the A frame structure facing the backside of the Okinawan and Korean structures; and the sixth one will be on the A frame structure facing the grassy lawn in front of the stage. All cameras will operate continuously.
