ACCOUNT CLERK
City Council
The Council account clerk will be situated in the administrative services office of the City Council. The Council account clerk will have the ability to maintain fiscal accounts and records; prepare financial reports and statements; interpret fiscal records and data; interpret laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the work; make arithmetical computations; compare names and numbers; operate calculating and adding machines and computers; give and follow oral and written instructions; work harmoniously with others. Must be knowledgeable of office practices and procedures; grammar, spelling and word usage; filing methods and systems.
Desired qualifications: A minimum of three years of general office work experience and three years of which shall have been in account record keeping work. An education equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a major in business or public administration, or accounting is preferred. Posses a valid Hawaii State driver’s license, is preferred. This is an exempt position.
