The State of Hawaii, Board of Land and Natural Resources, is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to qualified parties interested in a Mobile Food Concession of
state-owned lands within the Makena State Park situated on the island of Maui, Hawaii, pursuant to Chapter 102, Hawaii Revised Statues (HRS).
Before any prospective bidder shall be entitled to submit a bid, the prospective bidder must meet the minimum qualifications set forth in the IFB and shall submit a completed Qualification Questionnaire and give written notice of intent to bid on the Notice of Intention to Bid form by 4:00 PM Hawaii Standard Time (HST)
June 20, 2025, to the Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of State Parks (DSP), Kalanimoku Building 1151 Punchbowl Street, #310, Honolulu, HI 96813 or Maui District Health Office 54 S High Street #101, Wailuku, HI 96793.
Prior to permitting any interested party to bid, DSP shall satisy itself of the prospective bidder’s financial ability, experience, qualifications, and competence to carry out the terms and conditions of the concession contract that may be awarded.
SEALED BIDS are due on or before 2:00 PM HST on July 7, 2025, at DSP, located at Kalanimoku Building 1151 Punchbowl Street, #310, Honolulu, HI 96813 or Maui District Health Office 54 S High Street #101, Wailuku, HI 96793. A SEALED BID must be accompanied by a bid deposit required by and in conformance with section 102-6, HRS. SEALED BIDS timely and properly received will be publicly opened at 8:00 AM HST on July 8, 2025, at DSP located at 1151 Punchbowl St. #310, Honolulu, HI 96813.
The IFB, including required forms for bidding, qualifications, specifications and contract, may be obtained from the DSP website: https://dlnr.hawaii.gov/dsp/announcements/ or from the DSP office Mon. thru Fri., between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM HST, excluding Holidays.
