NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Department of Transportation Services, City and County of Honolulu (Department), pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 91, Hawai’i Revised Statutes, will hold a public hearing on proposed rules of the Department.
The Department proposes to adopt Title 23, Chapter 6 – Restricted Parking Zones ("proposed rules"). The proposed rules are summarized as follows:
Title 23, Chapter 6, establishes rules for the implsementation and management of the Restricted Parking Zones Program (RPZ), as established under Chapter 15, Article 30 of the Revised Ordinances of Honolulu 2021, as amended. These rules include the process for applying for RPZ permits and the enforcement of RPZ regulations.
A public hearing will be held in accordance with the following schedule:
DATE: Monday, May 19, 2025
TIME: 9:00am – 10:00am
PLACE: 711 Kapiolani Blvd, Suite 1600, Manoa Falls Conference Room
All interested persons are urged to attend the public hearing and present data, views, or arguments orally or in writing, for consideration by the Department. Persons unable to attend or wishing to present additional comments may mail written testimony to the Department of Transportation Services, 711 Kapiolani, Suite 1600, Honolulu, Hawai’i 96813 or email testimony to RPZ@honolulu.gov no later than Monday, May 19, 2025, at 4:30pm.
A copy of the proposed rules will be available for review at the office address below, or can be mailed to any interested person who requests a copy via email to RPZ@honolulu.gov. In-person copying fees, and copying and postage fees for mailed materials, shall apply.
