NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEARBY GIVEN that the Honolulu Police Commission will hold a public hearing in Conference Room A, Honolulu Police Department Alapai Station, 801 S. Beretania St., Honolulu, Hawaii, on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 2:30 p.m., to consider the adoption of an amendment to the Rules of the Honolulu Police Commission.

The purpose of the proposed revisions is (1) to revise Rule 7-5 to give the Commission more flexibility in scheduling it monthly meetings; (2) to revise Rule 8-2 to clarify and provide more specificity to the Commission’s Complaint Classification Guidelines; and (3) to revise Rule 9-4 to make it clear that a Complainant may acquire a copy of the completed Commission investigating and (4) to clarify and provide specificity to the Commission’s Case Findings.

Those persons wishing to testify at this hearing may register prior to the hearing at the hearing site and are encouraged to submit one copy of their testimony by hand delivery, fax, mail or email. Attendance at the public hearing is not a prerequisite for submission of testimony.
