NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Department of Enterprise Services of the City and County of Honolulu, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 91, Hawai’i Revised Statutes, as amended, will hold a public hearing to consider the adoption of new rules of the Department of Enterprise Services of the City and County of Honolulu.
The Department of Enterprise Services proposes to adopt Title 12 Department of Enterprise Services, Subtitle 4 Concessions, Chapter 1, Award of Contract for Nonprofit Beachboy Concession ("proposed rules"). The proposed rules are summarized as follows:
Title 12, Subtitle 4, Chapter 1 establishes rules for awarding a contract to operate a nonprofit beachboy concession. Under these rules, a contract may be awarded by a request for bids, request for proposals, and drawing of lots. These rules also govern the award of a revocable permit to operate a nonprofit beachboy concession.
A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 in Hawai’i Suite 12, at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center, starting at 4:30 p.m.
All interested persons are urged to attend the public hearing and present data, views, or arguments in the time limit provided, for consideration by the Department of Enterprise Services. Persons unable to attend or wishing to present additional comments may mail written testimony to the Department of Enterprise Services, 777 Ward Avenue, Honolulu, Hawai’i 96814 or email testimony to desconcessions@honolulu.gov no later than 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
Interested persons may review the proposed rules to be adopted starting today and ending five days prior to the day of the public hearing on business days during the hours of 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Department of Enterprise Services, 777 Ward Avenue, Honolulu, Hawai’i 96814.
A copy of the proposed rules to be adopted will be mailed to any person who submits a written request to the above address.
