NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
HANA ADVISORY COMMITTEE
TO THE MAUI PLANNING COMMISSION

The Hana Advisory Committee to the Maui Planning Commission, of the County of Maui, hereby provides notice of a public hearing on December 17, 2024, commencing at 4:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as is practicable at the Current Planning Division Conference Room, One Main Plaza, 2200 Main Street, Suite 619, Wailuku, Hawaii, 96793 and also via the Webex videoconferencing platform, Meeting ID/Number: 2664 035 3595 and Password: 121724, and a courtesy testimony site at the Hana Courthouse, 4974 Uakea Road, Hana, Maui, 96713 on the following matter (Final location will be set on the meeting agenda):

District Boundary Amendment

KATE L.K. BLYSTONE, PLANNING DIRECTOR, transmitting Council Resolution No. 24-138, FD1 Referring to the Maui Planning Commission a Proposed Bill to Amend the State Land Use District Classification (Conditional District Boundary Amendment) from the Agricultural District to the Rural District for a Portion of Tax Map Key (2) 1-4-003:022, Hana, Maui, Hawai’i (Hana Health). (ZPA2024-00003) (W. Leauanae)

The subject public hearing will be conducted in accordance with the Hawaii Revised Statute Chapter 91, the Maui County Code, and the Rules of the Maui Planning Commission. Information pertaining to the subject application may be obtained from the Maui County Planning Department, 2200 Main Street, Suite 315, Wailuku, Maui or planning@mauicounty.gov.

All testimony regarding the subject application may be filed prior to the date of the hearing by providing 15 copies of said written testimony to the Department of Planning or via email, or may be presented at said hearing. Written testimony may be submitted by mail to: Planning Department, 2200 Main Street, Suite 315, Wailuku, Hawaii 96793 or by email to planning@mauicounty.gov. Written testimony should be submitted two business days prior to the public hearing to ensure distribution to the committee; however, testimony submitted after such date will still be accepted by the Committee until the closing of public testimony at the hearing. Further information will be provided on the posted meeting agenda.

Any person requesting accommodations due to disabilities must call (808) 270-7735 at least three days before the date of the scheduled public hearing. For requests received sooner than three days prior to the hearing, every attempt will be made to accommodate the request but it cannot be guaranteed.
