PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing to be held by the Department of Planning and Permitting of the City and County of Honolulu under Special Management Area Ordinance, Chapter 25, Revised Ordinances of Honolulu (ROH), as amended, and under the Shoreline Setback Ordinance, Chapter 26, ROH, as amended, for the following applications at the date and time specified or soon thereafter.

REQUEST: Special Management Area Use Permit and Shoreline Setback Variance to modify an existing concrete seawall by inserting steel sheet piles landward (mauka) of the seawall, increasing its height by up to 3 feet by adding a curved concrete cap, and reconstructing the existing rubble rip-rap at the base of the seawall within the 40-foot shoreline setback.

Attendance at the public hearing is not necessary to submit testimony. Written testimony may be emailed to dpp@honolulu.gov, faxed to (808) 768-6743, or mailed to 650 South King Street, 7th Floor, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813. Written testimony must be received by the close of the public hearing on Wednesday,
July 3, 2024. Testimony to the Department prior to the hearing will be considered in the evaluation of the request.
