NOTICE HEREBY GIVEN of a Public Hearing to be held by the County of Maui. PLACE: 2200 Main St., One Main Plaza, Room 310, Wailuku, HI 96793. DATE: Wednesday, July 17, 2024. TIME: 10:00 a.m. HST. PUBLIC HEARING notice published in the Honolulu Star Advertiser on Thursday, June 6, 2024. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comments on the County’s draft Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan Update (Plan) prior to the final submittal to the State of Hawaii Department of Health, as required by Section 342G-22 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. The Plan describes current and proposed solid waste programs and will serve as guidance for County solid waste management for the next ten years. All interested persons are invited to review the Plan at www.mauicounty.gov/1199/Solid-Waste-Resource-and-Advisory-Commit and to comment orally or in writing at the public hearing. Written comments may also be submitted by email to solidwaste@co.maui.hi.us at any time before or after the Public Hearing until close of business, Friday, July 19, 2024.
