NOTICE FOR LOTTERIES FOR
PUBLICATION DISPENSING RACK SPACES
THROUGHOUT THE WAIKIKI SPECIAL DISTRICT
In accordance with the Revised Ordinances of Honolulu, the Department of Customer Services will be conducting supplemental lotteries for the vacant publication dispensing rack spaces throughout the Waikiki Special District. The lotteries will be held as follows:

*Valid photo identification will be required to enter the building.
TIMES: 12-INCH SPACE LOTTERY:
8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. – Sign-in
(Publishers must check in by 9:00 a.m. to participate in the lottery.)
9:00 a.m. – Lottery begins
24-/NCH SPACE LOTTERY:
12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Sign-in
(Publishers must check in by 1:00 p.m. to participate in the lottery.)
1:00 p.m. – Lottery begins
NOTE: A limit of two (2) persons per publisher will be allowed at either lottery due to the room capacity. Although face coverings are no longer required, we recommend all participants to wear face masks and social distancing measures will be implemented.
Permits are valid from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2027. The fee stands at $444.00 per space per publication for the entirety of the three-year permit. Payment options include either a single payment or three equal installments.
IMPORTANT: To enter the lottery, all publishers or interested individuals must register by completing and submitting an application form along with the necessary supporting documents. Additionally, a non-refundable application fee of $50.00 per publication is required. All materials must be postmarked no later than May 10, 2024. Applications received after this date will be returned, and the applicant will be ineligible for participation in this supplementary lottery. Registration will not be accepted on the lottery day. Each applicant must specify on the application form whether they will participate in the 12-inch or 24-inch space lottery, but not both.
