Notice of Public Hearing

The Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC), State of Hawaii, will hold a statewide public hearing to accept comments on the existing Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC), and proposed amendments. HHFDC shall hold the public hearing on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. Interested members of the public are invited to submit written comments or to participate in the public hearing conference call by using the following toll-free call-in number:

The proposed QAP is to be effective for 2024.

All interested people are invited to attend the hearing and to state their views relative to the QAP, either orally or in writing. Those wishing to comment on the QAP during the conference call, are requested to give prior notice to HHFDC by sending an email to tina.m.morita@hawaii.gov no later than 4:30 PM HST the day before the hearing. HHFDC reserves the right to limit comments to 5 minutes per commentator. Those wishing to submit written comments should do so by sending them to the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation, Attn: Finance Branch, 677 Queen Street, Suite 300, Honolulu, HI 96813 or to the email address shown above.

A copy of the QAP with the proposed amendments is available for review on the HHFDC website at www.hawaii.gov.dbedt/hhfdc. To receive a copy by mail, contact Chelsea Newcom at (808) 587-0567.
