Vertical Expansion of Kekaha Landfill

The County of Kaua’i, Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Division (County) is proposing a vertical expansion of Phase II of the Kekaha Landfill. Pursuant to the requirements of Hawai’i Revised Statutes (HRS) Chapter 343 and Hawai’i Administrative Rules (HAR) §11-200.1, the County is preparing an environmental assessment (EA) to evaluate the potential environmental effects of the proposed action.
The purpose of the public meeting is to share information, answer questions about the design, and take comments.
All interested persons are invited to review the plan available at www.kauai.gov/KekahaLFexpansion.
Written comments or questions may be submitted anytime by email to solidwaste@kauai.gov. Please include "vertical expansion" in your email subject heading.
