NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
HAWAII ADMINISTRATIVE RULES
Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes (“HRS”) § 485A-606(a), and Chapter 91, notice is hereby given that the State of Hawaii, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Business Registration Division, (“Division”) will hold a public hearing on Monday, September 18, 2023, at 9:00 A.M., in the King Kalakaua Conference Room, First Floor, King Kalakaua Building, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, 335 Merchant Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, to hear all persons interested in the proposed amendments to and compilation of, Hawaii Administrative Rules (“HAR”) § 16-39, entitled “Securities.”
The purpose of the proposed amendments is to: (1) add HAR § 16-39-454.5, which will require every investment adviser representative registered in Hawaii to annually complete 12 continuing education credits to maintain their registration, and (2) make non-substantive amendments throughout HAR § 16-39 for clarity, consistency, and style.
All interested persons shall be afforded an opportunity to submit data, views, or arguments, orally or in writing, to the Division at the time of hearing. Anyone wishing to submit written testimony is required to submit two copies of written testimony by September 18, 2023, to: State of Hawaii, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Business Registration Division, 335 Merchant Street,
Room 201, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813.
A copy of the proposed rules will be mailed to any person who requests a copy by calling 808-586-2744 and remitting $12.20, plus the cost of mailing. A copy may also be obtained at the above address between 7:45 A.M. and 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The cost of this copy, $12.20, is due and payable at the time of pickup.
