Notice is hereby given that the Director of Budget and Fiscal Services, City and County of Honolulu, has filed a Complaint for Interpleader and Declaratory Relief in Civil No. 1CCV-21-0001158 (GWBC) in regard to surplus moneys from the tax sale held on May 9, 2017, which were in excess of real property taxes, penalties and interest, owed for tax years 2013-2016 and any associated costs and fees of the tax sale of Unit No. J205 of the Kahe Kai condominium project at 87-131 Halelua Street, Waianae, Hawaii 96792, TMK (1) 8-7-008-010-0148 (“Surplus Moneys”).
Interested persons who may possess a claim against said Surplus Moneys are instructed to file their claim or other pleading with the circuit court in the above referenced case regarding their rights, interest and claims to the Surplus Moneys from the tax sale of that certain real property situate at Waianae, City and County of Honolulu, State of Hawaii in the above-referenced case on or before November 15, 2022. Copies of said claim or other pleading shall also be served upon the Department of the Corporation Counsel, Attn: Reid M. Yamashiro and Moana A. Yost, Deputies Corporation Counsel, attorneys for Plaintiff, whose address is 530 South King Street, Room 110, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813.
Failure to submit a claim or other pleading on or before November 15, 2022, shall result in a bar of recovery against said Surplus Moneys.
