NOTICE OF PROPOSED SALE OF REAL PROPERTY
For Failure To Pay
Real Property Taxes Due Thereon
Date of Sale —- May 10, 2022
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Director of Budget and Fiscal Services or his authorized representative will sell at public auction, each of the following described parcels of real property, all situated within the City and County of Honolulu,
State of Hawaii. Each such parcel is subject to a lien for real property taxes pursuant to the provisions of Sections 8-5.1 through 8-5.9, inclusive, Revised Ordinances of Honolulu 1990, as amended. Each parcel will be sold to the highest bidder
for (1) cashier’s check made payable to the “CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU”, which check shall show on its face that it is drawn on a bank with its address in the State of Hawaii, or (2) wire transfer arranged 10 business days prior to the date
of sale by the interested bidder with the City and County of Honolulu. All charges for the wire transfer are to be paid by the bidder. Public auction is to be held at the City and County of Honolulu, Mission Memorial Auditorium, 550 South King Street,
Honolulu, Hawaii on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. All bidders and non-bidders must be registered by 8:30 a.m. The auction will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and doors will be closed once
the auction has commenced. Face mask and 6′ social distancing will be requested. No solicitation allowed. Bidders will be given first priority for seating. All non-bidders will be seated on a first come, first serve basis, if space is available.
Maximum number of guests is 85. The entire amount bid is to be paid in full to the City and County of Honolulu at the time of sale. Persons bidding at the auction as representatives or agents of others will be required to present duly notarized
documents showing such authorization to bid on behalf of such parties as they represent.
With respect to each parcel of property, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the owners and persons assessed the real property taxes thereon, and to all persons having or claiming to have any right, title or interest therein, that unless the taxes
due thereon, including all interest, penalties, cost, expenses and charges, are paid in full prior to the time of the scheduled sale, the property will be sold in fee simple as noticed herein, free and clear of all liens. All of the properties are offered
“AS IS” and without any warranties as to physical conditions.
The taxpayer may redeem the property sold by payment to the purchaser at the sale, within one (1) year from the date of the sale, of the amount paid by the purchaser, together with all costs and expenses which the purchaser was
required to pay, including the fee for recording the deed, and in addition thereto, interest on such amount at the rate of twelve percent (12%) a year.
