PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing to be held by the Department of Planning and Permitting of the City and County of Honolulu under Special Management Area Ordinance, Chapter 25, R.O.H., as amended, for the following applications at the date and time specified or soon thereafter.

Please note that R.O.H. Section 25-5.3(b), requiring public hearings to be held in the area in which the development is proposed, is waived under the Emergency Proclamation Related to COVID-19 (Omicron Variant) issued by Governor David Ige on January 26, 2022. In addition, in order to allow public participation in a manner consistent with social distancing practices, the public hearing procedures have been modified to comply with the Governor’s current emergency proclamation and Mayor Rick Blangiardi’s Emergency Order 2022-01, executed on January 5, 2022. The public may participate in the public hearing and offer testimony via the online meeting venue as detailed below.

In order to provide the public with the best opportunity to observe the meeting and prevent technical difficulties, participants must mute their devices microphones except when it is their turn to testify.

In-person attendance: The City is exercising a good faith effort to provide this option only to members of the public who are unable to attend the meeting via phone or Webex. All in-person attendees and testifiers must wear a mask while on the Mission Memorial premises and must maintain
six feet of distance between themselves and others or they will not be
allowed in the Conference Room. (See Mayor’s Emergency Order No. 2022-01, subject to change.)

Attendance at the public hearing is not necessary to submit testimony. Written testimony may be emailed to info@honoluludpp.org, faxed to 808-768-6743, or mailed to 650 South King Street, 7th Floor, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813. Testimony must be received by the close of the public hearing on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
