Improvements will consist of the renovation/refinish and possible replacement, if warranted, of existing sidewalks; new
street light installations at the following intersections: Mahoe and Waipahu Streets, Mahoe and Hapapa Streets, Mahoe
Street and Mahoe Place, Mahoe and Huakai Streets, and Mahoe and Hiapo Streets; relocation of existing traffic and
pedestrian signals at Mahoe and Waipahu Streets; installation of speed tables on Mahoe Street near the intersections
with Mahoe Place and Huakai and Hiapo Streets; drainage modifications and excavations for drainage additions at Mahoe
Place and Hapapa, Huakai, Hiapo, and Hina Streets; and curb extensions (or bulbouts) at the intersections of Mahoe Street
with Mahoe Place and Waipahu, Hapapa, Huakai, Hiapo and Hina Streets. In addition, the removal, repainting, and addition
of street striping throughout the project area is anticipated. See location map.
