REAPPORTIONMENT COMMISSION

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU
REAPPORTIONMENT PLAN

The 2021 City and County of Honolulu Reapportionment Commission will conduct a series of public hearings to afford interested persons the opportunity to submit views, arguments, or data, orally via interactive video conference in the time limit provided, or in writing, relating to the proposed reapportionment plan for the Honolulu City Council for consideration by the Reapportionment Commission.

District boundaries were drawn to minimize population deviations between the nine districts and conform to constitutional and City Charter guidelines. The number of council members to be elected to each district will be one. Maps accompanying descriptions of boundaries of proposed council districts are available for viewing at the following website: www.honoluluelections.us and are available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Office of the City Clerk at the address below.

The hearings will be held on the dates and at the times and places as follows:

Although oral testimony is accepted, the Commission requests that oral testimony be accompanied by a written statement. Oral testimony is limited to three (3) minutes. Written testimony may be submitted by: fax to (808) 768-3835; by email to: reapportionment@honolulu.gov; or by mail to Reapportionment Commission, c/o Office of the City Clerk, 530 S. King St, Rm 100, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813.
