PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of public hearings to be held by the Department of Planning and Permitting of the City and County of Honolulu under Special Management Area Ordinance, Chapter 25, R.O.H., as amended, for the following applications at the date and time specified or soon thereafter (please note that R.O.H. Section 25-5.3(b), requiring public hearings to be held in the area in which the development is proposed, is waived under the Governor’s current emergency proclamation):

Pursuant to the Twenty-First Proclamation issued by Governor David Ige on June 7, 2021, relating to the COVID-19 pandemic (Proclamation), in order to allow public participation in a manner consistent with social distancing practices the following procedures are in effect for the July 26, 2021 meeting. The procedures have been modified to comply with Mayor Blangiardi’s Emergency Order No. 2021-08, effective June 10, 2021 (Emergency Order). City staff, attendees and the public may be participating via the online meeting venue. Information on how the public may participate in the meeting is provided below.

To provide the public with the best opportunity to observe the meeting, it is required to “mute” your device’s microphone except when to testify to prevent technological difficulties. In-person attendance: The City is exercising a good faith effort to provide this option only to members of the public who are unable to attend the meeting via phone or Webex. All in-person attendees and testifiers must wear a mask while on the Mission Memorial premises and must maintain six feet of distance between themselves and others or they will not be allowed in the Conference Room. (See Mayor’s Emergency Order 2021-08. Note: Subject to change.)
