Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan (ISWMP) Public Review Hearing. Online registration will be required to participate in the public hearing. Registration link can be found at www.kauai. gov/ISWMP or scan the QR code below. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comments on the County’s draft Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan Update (Plan) prior to the final submittal to the State of Hawai’i Department of Health, as required by Chapter 342G-22(b) of the Hawai’i Revised Statutes. The Plan describes current and proposed solid waste programs and will serve as a blueprint for County solid waste management for the next 10 years. All interested persons are invited to review the Plan available at www.kauai.gov/ISWMP and to comment orally or in writing at the public hearing. Written comments may also be submitted by email to solidwaste@kauai.gov at any time before or after the Public Hearing until close of business Monday, July 19, 2021.
