BOX 3378 HONOLULU, HI 96801-3378 DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH EMERGENCY RULES FOR TRAVEL TO KALAWAO COUNTY Pursuant to section 91-4, Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS), notice is hereby given that the Department of Health, has adopted emergency rules to protect the health and safety of the patient residents of Kalaupapa and Kalawao County by limiting travel to Kalawao County. The rules are effective on April 21, 2021 for a period of not longer than one hundred twenty (120) days or until August 21, 2021. The Department of Health will not approve any requests for public travel into Kalawao County. Only confirmed residents, employees, approved contractors, and approved volunteers may request to travel into Kalawao County. Travel request forms will be reviewed by the Department of Health’s Kalaupapa Administrator. The emergency rules in Kalawao County affect all individuals arriving in Kalawao County. There are mandatory self-quarantine and other requirements that may apply to individuals who request to travel to Kalawao County.
