PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing to be held by the Department of Planning and Permitting of the City and County of Honolulu under Special Management Area Ordinance, Chapter 25, R.O.H., as amended, for the following application at the date and time specified or soon thereafter (please note that R.O.H. Section 25-5.3(b), requiring public hearings to be held in the area in which the development is proposed, is waived under the Governor’s current emergency proclamation):

Pursuant to Governor David Ige’s Seventeenth Proclamation issued on December 16, 2020, and Mayor Kirk Caldwell’s Emergency Order (EO) 2020-31 effective December 23, 2020, both relating to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the March 10, 2021 meeting will be held remotely to prevent transmission of the virus causing COVID-19. Protecting the health and welfare of the community is of utmost concern. The public may participate in the public hearing via the online meeting venue (details below).

In-person attendance: The City is exercising a good faith effort to provide this option only to members of the public who are unable to attend the meeting via phone or Webex. All in-person attendees and testifiers must wear a mask while on the Mission Memorial premises and must maintain six feet of distance between themselves and others or will not be allowed in the Conference Room. (See Mayor’s Emergency Order 2020-07. Note: Subject to change.)

Attendance at the public hearing is not necessary to submit testimony. Written testimony may be emailed to info@honoluludpp.org, faxed to 808-768-6743, or mailed to 650 South King Street, 7th Floor, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813. Testimony must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.
