NOTICE

The Council of the City and County of Honolulu at its meeting held on December 9, 2020, laid over and ordered published the following Resolution. Pursuant to Section 3-202.9 of the Revised Charter of the City and County of Honolulu 1973, as amended, the Honolulu City Council hereby gives notice that the following Resolution authorizing proceedings in eminent domain has been introduced and is under its consideration:

RESOLUTION 20-255 (FOR CONDEMNATION) PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION OF EASEMENTS FOR PUBLIC USE, TO WIT: THE PAUOA AREA SEWER RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, SITUATE AT KEWALO, PAUOA, HONOLULU, OAHU, HAWAII, AND DETERMINING AND DECLARING THE NECESSITY OF THE ACQUISITION THEREOF BY EMINENT DOMAIN.

BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City and County of Honolulu:

I.

The valid public use and purpose is the Pauoa Area Sewer Reconstruction Project for the improvement, repair, and rehabilitation of sewer lines to improve service to the residents of the area and to protect water quality, sanitation, and public health. Proceedings in eminent domain as provided by law shall be instituted for the acquisition of sewer easements over, under, through, and across Parcel S-6 (TMK: 2-2-011) and Parcel S-8 (TMK: 2-2-019), situate at Kewalo, Pauoa, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii

AYES: Councilmembers Elefante, Fukunaga, Kobayashi, Manahan, Menor, Pine, Texeira, Tsuneyoshi, Waters. – 9.
