PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing to be held by the Department of Planning and Permitting of the City and County of Honolulu under Chapter 23, Revised Ordinances of Honolulu, as amended, for the following application at the date and the time specified or soon thereafter.

Pursuant to Governor David lge’s Thirteenth Proclamation, issued on September 22, 2020, and Mayor Kirk Caldwell’s Emergency Order 2020-27, effective 12 a.m., September 24, 2020, both relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, the November 16, 2020 meeting will be held remotely to prevent transmission of the virus causing COVID-19. Protecting the health and welfare of the community is of utmost concern. City Staff, Agents, and Applicants may be participating in the meeting by interactive conference technology from remote locations. Information on how the public may participate in the meeting is provided below.

REQUEST: SHORELINE SETBACK VARIANCE, Chapter 23, Revised Ordinances of Honolulu (ROH) to allow replacement of a fixed pedestrian footbridge with a retractable pedestrian footbridge, to maintain a public shoreline access (easement A) across an existing private boat harbor within the 40-foot shoreline setback.

Join in person: The City is exercising a good faith effort to provide this option only to members of the public who are unable to attend the meeting via phone or Webex. Only persons wearing masks that cover the nose and mouth will be allowed in the Mission Memorial Conference Room. All people inside the Mission Memorial Conference Room or waiting outside for a turn to testify must abide by social distancing guidelines and thus maintain six feet of distance between themselves and others and wear face coverings.
