Island: Oahu Moku: Ko’olaupoko Ahupua’a: Maunalua

Project Description: The Honolulu Board of Water Supply is proposing to replace two existing booster pumping units with new pumps, motors, discharge heads, above-ground piping, valves, and all appurtenant mechanical and electrical work. The existing Motor Control Center (MCC) within the existing Control Building will be replaced with a new MCC meeting all latest design standards. At the Control Building, the existing decorative concrete block openings and louver windows will be replaced with hurricane proof windows and insect screens. Proposed site work includes repaving the existing A.C. driveway and installing concrete headers and root barriers. A drapery will be installed for rockfall protection at the existing slopes around the perimeter of the site. The purpose of this project is to upgrade the water system to current standards, and improve water service reliability. This work requires the use of heavy construction equipment. All proposed work will be within the existing project parcel – TMK (1) 3-9-075 : 079.

Potential Historic Resources: At this time, there are no known historic items within the project limits that will be affected by the construction of this project.
