Pisces IV & V

Pisces IV and V are each a three-person, battery-powered Deep Submergence Vehicle, with a maximum operating depth of 2,000 m (6,600 ft). Includes life support systems, 120/24VDC power plant and distribution system, hard&soft ballast systems, underwater telephones (2 each) plus spares, TrackLink USBL tracking systems (2 each) plus spares, Tritech SeaKing SONARs (2 each) plus spares, Nuytco NewtSun 500 High intensity LED lights, altimeters, (2each), Paroscientific depth sensors (2 each), ROS SD cameras (2 each), HD/SD video data recorders, Schilling Robotics HPUs (4 each), hydraulic systems plus spares, Hydraulic Pan and tilts (4 each) plus spares, thrusters (8 each), HYCO Manipulators (2 each), Schilling Robotics Orion Manipulator System. Fiber Optic Hull Penetrator (P4/P5), Birns, Inc Model 3T-H02012-FR, Depthsensor/Display/Cable/Assembly, Digiquartz 91067, model 8CB2000, Pinger Receiver System, Benthos 22930720, 200M DHA-151, Winch deep sea dyacon, 15 Tonne swl, A-Frame, Tele Arm, battery chargers and battery service equipment, command sphere support frame for special refit work, and Haskel/MicroBoost booster pumps. Both vehicles are in ABS layup status.

Upset price (minimum bid accepted): $300,000

Arrangements to inspect the vehicles may be made by contacting Anita L. Lopez, UH Marine Center, at 808-224-2680 between 8:00am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday except holidays. The submersibles are located at Makai Pier, 41-305 Kalanianaole Hwy; Waimanalo, Hawaii 96795. The items will be sold as is/where is IN AGGREGATE to the highest pre-qualified responsible and responsive bidder. Buyer will be responsible for all expenses relating to the packing, pickup, and removal of equipment and spares. Bidders must be pre-qualified as meeting export control requirements before their bids will be accepted. Further information on the pre-qualification process, as well as bid forms and conditions of the bid will be available from and received in the Capital Asset Accounting Office, University of Hawaii, 1408 Campus Road, Room 46, Honolulu, HI 96822 until 2:30 pm, Friday, February 21, 2020.
