Notice of Funding Availability

HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH AIDS

The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Community Services, through its Department of Budget and Fiscal Services Purchasing Division, is soliciting applications from qualified non-profit agencies for the following programs:

HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH AIDS (HOPWA) PROGRAM, authorized by the AIDS Housing Opportunity Act (42 U.S.C. §12901 et seq.). Approximately $616,157 in funding for Grant Agreement Year 2021 and each year thereafter through Year 2025, subject to availability, is anticipated to be available for Short-Term Rent, Mortgage, and Utilities Assistance (STRMU), Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) and supportive services to help
low-income persons with HIV/AIDS and their families remain stably housed.

Interested agencies may download the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) packet at http://www.honolulu.gov/pur/gsc.html under the “Bids for Goods, Services and Concessions” link provided.

Applications must be submitted to the Department of Budget and Fiscal Services Purchasing Division at Honolulu Hale, 530 South King Street, Room 115, Honolulu, Hawaii by the date and time as stated in the NOFA packet, as amended.
