Coordinator/Supervisor
Program and Policy Development Unit

Disability and Communication Access Board

The Disability and Communication Access Board (DCAB) is seeking applications for the position of Program and Policy Development Unit Coordinator/Supervisor. To oversee the statewide parking program for persons with disabilities, as required by Chapter 291, Part III, Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS), and Chapter 11-219, Hawaii Administrative Rules (HAR); oversee the statewide American Sign Language interpreter credentialing program, as required by Chapter 348F, HRS, and Chapter 11-218, HAR; oversee the DCAB website and social media, technical assistance to state websites on accessibility; oversee review, research and analysis of laws and rules that impact persons with disabilities. Supervise five staff, periodic volunteers and interns.

Min. reqmts: Master’s Degree from accredited college or university in human services, public administration, public health, education, sociology, law, or related field. Familiarity of disability laws. Previous supervisory work desirable.

State position exempt from civil service. Salary commensurate with experience.
