Traffic Schedule No. 2019-8
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF HONOLULU 1990 (ROH), AS AMENDED, THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES, CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU, HEREBY ESTABLISHES TRAFFIC SCHEDULE NO. 2019-8 TO AMEND SCHEDULE I OF SECTION 15-6.2(a) ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC SIGNALS (CITY); SCHEDULE V OF SECTION 15-7.2(b)(3) ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT–25 MPH; SCHEDULE XIV OF SECTION 15-11.3 ESTABLISHING STOP INTERSECTIONS; SCHEDULE XVIII OF SECTION 15-13.9(a)(5) ESTABLISHING TOW ZONES–PM PEAK; SCHEDULE XXII OF SECTION 15-14.5(a) ESTABLISHING PROHIBITED PARKING CERTAIN AREAS; SCHEDULE XXV OF SECTION 15-15.3(d) ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL BUS STOPS; SCHEDULE XXVII OF SECTION 15-17.1 ESTABLISHING CROSSWALKS; SCHEDULE XXXVIII OF SECTION 15-24.17 ESTABLISHING MISCELLANEOUS TRAFFIC CONTROLS.
Section 1. Chapter 15 of the ROH 1990, as amended, is hereby further amended in the following particulars:
a. By amending Schedule I of Sec. 15-6.2(a) establishing traffic signals (City) by adding thereto the following item:
“Alaloa St-Kahuhipa St.”
b. By amending Schedule V of Sec. 15-7.2(b)(3) establishing speed limit–25 mph by adding thereto the following items:
“Halela St., for its entire length.”
“Kaiwawalo St., for its entire length (City-owned portion).”
“Pupukahi St., for its entire length.”
“Pupukupa St., for its entire length.”
c. By amending Schedule XIV of Sec. 15-11.3 establishing stop intersections in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Halela St-Oneawa St. Traffic on Halela St. shall stop before entering Oneawa St.”
“Kaiuliuli St-Kaiwawalo St. Traffic on Kaiuliuli St. shall stop before entering Kaiwawalo St.”
“Kaiwawalo St-Keoneula Blvd. Traffic on Kaiwawalo St. shall stop before entering Keoneula Blvd.”
“Kaiwawalo St-Waikai St. Traffic on Kaiwawalo St. shall stop before entering Waikai St.”
“Mokumanu Dr-Aalapapa Dr. Traffic on Mokumanu Dr. shall stop before entering Aalapapa Dr.”
“Mokumanu Dr-Mokulua Dr. Traffic on Mokumanu Dr. shall stop before entering Mokulua Dr.”
“Pupukahi St-Waipahu St. Traffic on Pupukahi St. shall stop before entering Waipahu St.”
“Pupukupa St-Pupupuhi St. Traffic on Pupukupa St. shall stop before entering Pupupuhi St.”
“Pupupani St-Pupukahi St. Traffic on Pupupani St. shall stop before entering Pupukahi St.”
“Waiinu St-Kaiwawalo St. Traffic on Waiinu St. shall stop before entering Kaiwawalo St.”
“Waipaa St-Kaiwawalo St. Traffic on Waipaa St. shall stop before entering Kaiwawalo St.”
2. By deleting therefrom the following item:
“Alaloa St-Kahuhipa St. Traffic on Alaloa St. shall stop before entering Kahuhipa St.
d. By amending Schedule XVIII of Sec. 15-13.9(a)(5) establishing tow zones–PM Peak by deleting therefrom the following item:
“Maunaloa Ave., makai side, between 6th and 12th Aves.”
e. By amending Schedule XXII of Sec. 15-14.5(a) establishing prohibited parking certain areas in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following items:
“Kaiwawalo St., southern side, easterly direction from Waiemi St. to a point 195′ east of the eastern curb prolongation of Waipaa St.”
“Kaiwawalo St., southern side, distance 180′ easterly direction from a point 300′ east of the eastern curb prolongation of Waipaa St.”
“Kaiwawalo St., southern side, distance 100′ easterly direction from a point 45′ west of the western curb prolongation of Waiinu St.”
“Kaiwawalo St., southern side, distance 130′ westerly direction from the western curb prolongation of Keoneula Blvd.”
“Kaiwawalo St., both sides, between Keoneula Blvd. and Waikai St.”
“Kaiwawalo St., northern side, westerly direction from Keoneula Blvd. to a point 80′ west of the western curb prolongation of Waiinu St.”
“Kaiwawalo St., northern side, westerly direction from a point 385′ west of the western curb prolongation of Waiinu St. to Waiemi St.”
“Koaki St., northern side, distance 45′ westerly direction from the western curb prolongation of Paiwa St.”
“Koaki St., northern side, distance 120′ westerly direction from a point 195′ west of the western curb prolongation of Paiwa St.”
“Manuaihue St., northern leg, makai side, from the northern curb prolongation of St. John’s Rd. to and including its turnaround area.”
“Puko St., western side, distance 280′ southerly direction from the southern curb prolongation of Paiwa St., except for portion covered under Schedule 25.”
“Puko St., western side, distance 115′ northerly direction from the northern curb prolongation of Kopake St.”
“Puko St., western side, between Kopake and Mokuola Sts.”
“Puko St., eastern side, distance 240′ northerly direction from the northern curb prolongation of Mokuola St.”
“Puko St., eastern side, from a point 180′ north of the northern curb prolongation of Kopake St. to Paiwa St., except for portion covered under Schedule 25.”
“St. John’s Rd., Makaha side, from Kulaaupuni St. to a point 180′ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Manuaihue St.”
“Victoria St., Ewa side, distance 105′ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of S. Beretania St.”
“Victoria St., Ewa side, distance 33′ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of S. Beretania St.”
“Victoria St., Koko Head side, distance 115′ makai direction from the makai curb prolongation of S. Beretania St.”
“Victoria St., Koko Head side, distance 98′ mauka direction from the mauka curb prolongation of S. Beretania St.”
2. By amending thereto the following items:
Pauoa Rd., Koko Head side, between Kaia St. and Puna Ln., 7:30-8:30 a.m. and 1:00-2:30 p.m. school days; to read:
“Pauoa Rd., Koko Head side, between Kaia and Pakohana Sts., 7:30-8:30 a.m. and 1:00-2:30 p.m. school days.”
St. John’s Rd., northern side, between Farrington Hwy. and Kulaaupuni St., 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays; to read:
“St. John’s Rd., northern side, from a point 180′ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Manuaihue St. to Farrington Hwy., 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays.”
3. By deleting therefrom the following items:
“Koaki St., makai side, distance approximately 210′ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Paiwa St.”
“Koaki St., mauka side, distance approximately 245′ Ewa direction from the Ewa curb prolongation of Paiwa St.”
“Koaki St., Wahiawa side, distance 240′ Waianae direction from the Waianae curb prolongation of Paiwa St.”
“Puko St., both sides, for its entire length.”
f. By amending Schedule XXV of Sec. 15-15.3(d) establishing official bus stops in the following particulars:
1. By adding thereto the following item:
“Alaloa St., mauka side, distance 125′ Kahuku direction from a point 190′ Kahuku of the Kahuku curb prolongation of Kahuhipa St.”
2. By amending thereto the following item:
Pauoa Rd., Koko Head side, distance 150′ makai direction from a point 35′ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Kapaloala Pl.; to read:
“Pauoa Rd., Koko Head side, distance 150′ makai direction from a point 48′ makai of the makai curb prolongation of Kapaloala Pl.”
g. By amending Schedule XXVII of Sec. 15-17.1 establishing crosswalks by amending thereto the following item:
Kamehameha Hwy., 10’wide, from point 1322′ Waianae of Waianae curb prolongation Kahalewai Pl.; to read:
“Kamehameha Hwy., 10′ wide, centerline 1000′ south of the southern curb prolongation of Kahalewai Pl.”
h. By amending Schedule XXXVIII of Sec. 15-24.17 establishing miscellaneous traffic controls by adding thereto the following items:
“Alaloa St., Makapuu bound traffic in the makai most lane must turn left at Kahuhipa St.
“Alaloa St., Makapuu bound traffic in the mauka most lane must turn right at Kahuhipa St.”
Section 2. This schedule is hereby attached to and made a part of Article VI hereof and shall take effect ten (10) working days after its publication.
