PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
HAWAI’I WATER PLAN UPDATE – WATER RESOURCES PROTECTION PLAN
BOUNDARY MODIFICATION FOR
WAIMEA AND ‘ANAEHO’OMALU AQUIFER SYSTEM AREAS,
WEST MAUNAKEA AND NORTHEAST MAUNALOA AQUIFER SECTOR AREAS
ISLAND OF HAWAI’I
The State Commission on Water Resource Management (Commission) will hold a public hearing to receive testimony on a proposed modification to the Hawai’i Water Plan, as required under Chapter 174C, Hawai’i Revised Statutes. The proposed modification is to the Water Resource Protection Plan component of the Hawai’i Water Plan. The specific modification is to combine the Waimea (80301) and ‘Anaeho’omalu (80701) Aquifer System Areas (ASA) into the Waimea-‘Anaeho’omalu System/Sector Area (80302).
The Commission staff’s Draft Submittal is available for viewing during normal working hours (7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) at the Commission’s office, 1151 Punchbowl Street, Room 227, Honolulu, Hawai’i or visit the Commission’s website at (https://dlnr.hawaii.gov/cwrm/newsevents/notices/) or call 587-0216 for more information.
All interested persons are urged to attend the hearing and provide testimony, orally or in writing. The public hearing will be held on the following date, time and location:

The Commission will continue to accept written testimony until November 3, 2019. Testimony should be mailed to the Commission on Water Resource Management, P.O. Box 621, Honolulu, Hawai’i 96809 or emailed to dlnr.cwrm@hawaii.gov, or faxed to 808-587-0219.
