TO: LAURA LYNN SMITH, formerly known as SUKANLAYA HUGHES:

YOU ARE NOTIFIED that the BOARD OF NURSING will conduct a hearing and pre-hearing conference in case RNS 2017-29-L in accordance with Hawaii Revised Statutes (hereinafter “HRS”) Chapters 91, 436B, and 457 as well as Hawaii Administrative Rules (hereinafter “HAR”) Title 16 Chapter 89 to determine whether or not LAURA LYNN SMITH, formerly known as SUKANLAYA HUGHES’s License to Practice Nursing should be revoked, suspended, or otherwise disciplined, and, whether monetary fines and any other relief authorized by law, should be imposed against her. The Petition for Disciplinary Action Against License to Practice Nursing, filed on December 28, 2018 with the Office of Administrative Hearings, alleges violations of the provisions of HRS Chapter 457 and HAR Title 16 Chapter 89.
The PRE-HEARING CONFERENCE will be conducted on May 20, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. The HEARING will be conducted on June 18, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Both PRE-HEARING CONFERENCE and the HEARING will be held at a hearings room at the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Office of Administrative Hearings, 335 Merchant Street, Suite 100, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813. Parties are requested to check the posting on the hearing room assignments at Suite 100 on the day of the scheduled proceedings.
