INTERSTATE ROUTE H-1 RESURFACING, SALT LAKE BOULEVARD TO AIRPORT VIADUCT
AHUPUAA OF HALAWA, DISTRICTS OF HONOLULU AND EWA, ISLAND OF OAHU
FEDERAL-AID PROJECT NO. NH-H1-1(259)

Notice is hereby given that the Federal Highway Administration and the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, Highways
Division propose to cold plane, resurface, and reconstruct existing asphalt concrete pavement; adjust and/or replace existing
guardrails, and install pavement striping, marking, and signs. The proposed project is located from milepost 14.05 to milepost 15.75
on Interstate Route H-1, Oahu, Hawaii. This portion of the freeway is one of the most important transportation links on the island
of Oahu to Honolulu and its suburbs, including the Honolulu International Airport and Joint Base Hickam Pearl Harbor. The Area of
Potential Effect encompasses approximately 63.91 acres.
Pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, Native Hawaiian organizations and Native Hawaiian descendants
with ancestral, lineal or cultural ties to, cultural knowledge or concerns for, and cultural or religious attachment to the proposed
