NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE AUWAHI WIND FARM DRAFT
HABITAT CONSERVATION PLAN AMENDMENT, HANA DISTRICT,
MAUI ISLAND

The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW), State of Hawai’i, pursuant to Chapter 195D, Hawai’i Revised Statutes, will hold a public hearing to receive testimony on the Auwahi Wind Farm December 8, 2018 draft Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) amendment. The amendment would increase the incidental take request for the Hawaiian Hoary Bat, and implement avoidance, monitoring, and mitigation measures for the new take levels.

A copy of the draft HCP amendment is available for review at the DOFAW office in Honolulu, and as a link provided in the Office of Environmental Quality Control’s December 8, 2018 issue of the Environmental Notice or directly at http://oeqc2.doh.hawaii.gov/Other_TEN_Publications/2018-12-08-MA-DHCP-Amendment-Auwahi-Wind.pdf. A copy will also be available at the public hearing for review.

The public is encouraged to comment on the draft HCP amendment.
