NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE KAWAILOA WIND POWER
DRAFT HABITAT CONSERVATION PLAN AMENDMENT,
WAIALUA DISTRICT, O’AHU ISLAND

The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW), State of Hawai’i, pursuant to Chapter 195D, Hawai’i Revised Statutes, will hold a public hearing to receive testimony on the Kawailoa Wind Power September 28, 2018 draft Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) amendment. The amendment would increase the incidental take request for the Hawaiian Hoary Bat, add the Hawaiian Petrel as a covered species to the HCP, and implement avoidance, monitoring, and mitigation measures for the new take levels.

The public is encouraged to comment on the draft HCP amendment.
