NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a public hearing to be held by the Department of Planning and Permitting of the City and County of Honolulu, under the provisions of Section 6-1517 of the Charter of the City and County of Honolulu, for the following request for a variance of the Land Use Ordinance at the date and time specified or as soon thereafter as those interested may be heard:

Request : A variance from Sections 21-3.70-1(c)(1), 21-3.70-1(c)(2)B, and 21-9.40.4(a)(1) of the Land Use Ordinance to allow a structure to exceed the maximum height limit encroach into the required height setback in the R-5 Residential District and provide less than the required landscaping within the required yards in the Diamond Head Special District.

All interested persons are invited to attend. Those persons desiring to testify may register prior to the public hearing at the public hearing site and are encouraged to submit one copy of their testimony in writing.
Attendance at the public hearing is not necessary to submit testimony. Written testimony may be faxed (768-6743) or mailed (650 South King Street, 7th Floor, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813) to the department prior to the hearing and will be considered in the evaluation of the request.
